"Government currency is back by nothing, digital numbers on my phone are much better"

The real draw is that bitcoin is not regulated by the government which can put in or take out money from circulation. I like ETH better Because it's backed by the smart contracts it contains.

Everyone knows bitcoin was started by the fed to get enough people onboard to start centralized digital currency

(For the time being, at least.)

Whereas bitcoin has no backing whatsoever. Most of our money does exist as electrons, however. An outside hack, an internal computer glitch, an EMP attack … aaand it's gone.
