What is the feds job - inflation or serving the homeless?

I argued that consumer spending was driving inflation months ago.

The naysayers that usually agree with you were insistent that their buying big tvs and amazon junk had nothing to do with inflation.

I know what the Fed does.

I did not know which, inflation or homelessness, you were stating was the Fed's job.

You need not break down the effect consumer spending has on inflation to me.

I have long stated and argued the fact that it is a well documented driver of inflation.

My message to you was to alert your comrades that lack this understanding.

I was just touching on 2 ideas...

1. Inflation or at least inflation alone most likely won't cause "America to become homeless". If the prices of stuff was so high people began becoming homeless, demand would go down and inflation would subside before America as a whole became homeless. (Assuming supply was constant)

2. The FED kind of wants people to become unemployed...possibly creating more homeless people.

One person recklessly buying stuff probably won't affect inflation. If everyone does it that's a problem.... But personally I continue recklessly spending because republican tears about it are priceless and thus not subject to the inflation that caused em.

Also more people with jobs adds up to a smaller pool of unemployed and thus higher wages in order to attract and keep workers, thus adding to inflationary pressures.

The vast majority of homeless people are addicts, unemployed, and overdosing.

Many times I have seen them brought back from the dead only to become angry at the medical staff for ruining their buzz.
