Yes... they dance for lobbyists

I used to build them...they do nothing to "save the environment".

They only provide "free fuel" to the companies still raising your electric rates.

It takes ten years of driving an ev for it to create less emissions then a IC engine car.

The bmw i3 even in its earliest versions the batteries are rated to last 15 YEARS. They are also modular as shown in the diagram meaning if one section fails you just replace the failing section rather then the whole battery like the leaf.

For you people hating on โ€œknowing the truth about EVs.โ€ You donโ€™t know jack crap about the ones you post given the i3 was the poster boy of bmws line for putting function over comfort to minimize environmental impact. Well except the 2015 seat heater subscription fiasco but that was greed not the cars fault.

Toxic ideals, toxic politics, toxic attitudes, toxic morals. . .no wonder the Left loves EVs. . .just more toxic filth for them to wallow in.
2 ups, 7mo
They're hedging their bets that their scientists are saying: "Sure, EVs are worse than fossil fuel cars now, but they'll be better in the future... trust us" will come true... just like they bought the lies about the Covid vax technology...

Because the device you just typed that on it doesn't have any?

Actually charging networks like electrify America use renewable energy only.

And where Iโ€™m at our charging systems are hydro electric powered.

โ€œThey gonna mine for minerals and metals!!!โ€

Remind me what are trucks made of and use more materials so much so they cost 25% per lb of aluminum and steel then a 4 door sedan.

That is a Lithium mine...

Your grasp of the obvious is awe inspiring.

Guess what normal cars need resources mined for too.
Unlike the Ev yall keep posting the bmw i3 which was made from RECYCLED materials.

โ€œI donโ€™t have an argument so I just say theyโ€™re deflecting.โ€ Literally every time you get backed into a corner.

I should have kept my policy of only responding to you that you were deflecting.

Replied the same thing to me a couple of times - together, no less.
Kicker being I actually did not say anything arguing against said poster as the poster keeps claiming. I posted pics of bauxite mines. Not sure how that's supposed to be a counter to lithium mines, albeit mine wasn't about aluminum solely reserved for the electrical vehicle manufacturing industry.
Apparently I got thrust into a, "It's ok as long as it's for me" discussion.

Because mere ounces is all the industry uses to put one on in the pocket, on the lap, and one for personal use at the home of practically every person on Earth? Not to mention all the other devices and gadgets and everything down to the lock on the door of your car?

"But officer, I only shot her with one bullet, it's not THAT bad" said no one ever.

Sure... that makes it ok to expand mining operations to cover the enormous demand for car batteries... perfect logic... thanks

Why would you say that makes it ok?
It's very destructive, it's just a symptom of mass consumer waste.

No, it doesn't, because I neither have one nor posted one.

You must because you deflected to something else...

Deflection is, by definition, deflection. It is not an argument.

Aluminum use in cars is restricted solely to batteries?

They're going to expand mining for lithium to meet demand for EV batteries... because of that, you're saying that they are going to expand that for aluminum too? WOW

Bauxite. Bauxite mines are used to produce aluminum.

Lithium is being discussed... thanks for the deflection

Lithium does not come from bauxite.
