You only need hard wood ash and glycerin! That is soap. Glycerin is also a byproduct from biodiesel so as long as you planned ahead and stocked up on Glycol and sodium hydroxide (household lye which is hardwood ash and water)....Prepping is about knowing.
I get that. I just do not understand spending prep money on something you get for free as a biproduct of other preps! Then you have a constant product you can offer for barter!
I am a fabricator that has worked in refineries and reactors. I also woodwork as a hobby. I built a bandsaw lumber mill and used a diesel to power it https://woodweb.com/knowledge_base/Building_Your_Own_Bandsaw_Mill.html
I have built 2 solar kilns behind a half a$$ pole barn/lean to I built for air drying. I purchased 2 1000 gallon containers and a 50 gallon barrel to make bio diesel with. I converted a log splitter I found off craigslist to a diesel powerplant. I have a root cellar full of mason jars that I drilled a well in with an old school hand pump. Seeds to last 6 lifetimes. I also have a collection of 19th century hand tools that I have restored. So Yes! One of the benefits to living out in the corn where there aren't any people watching what you are doing.
I am not this cocky and loudmouthed because I am stupid! This is who I am in person as well! If you ever see a big jacked up faded out black dodge rocking out! Wave! It may be me!
