I don't think Israel is as stupid as we are in America. In other words, if Israel decides to take over Gaza, permanently, which I doubt they want or will do, they probably would not give Gazans the same rights as Israeli citizens, even the Arab ones. So no voting for them would be my take.

Israel did not sell the Sinai back to Egypt. It was handed over as part of the agreement drawn up in the Camp David Accords. In return for signing the peace treaty, both Israel and Egypt became the highest recipients of US foreign aid. Add to that the additional that Israel gets in US military aid, and Israel in effect is the highest recipient altogether of US foreign assistance.

Israel has stated it held on to the Golan Heights because, as the name indicates, the topography affords it an advantage in launching missiles at Israel. Thus handing it back would leave Israel that much more vulnerable to attacks.

This has also been an issue with the Sephardim and Mizrahi, them having more children than Ashkenazis do, hence why they had been treated as second class citizens.
