Of course the left wants non citizens to vote in any and all elections. The people that have to live, work, and pay taxes within the dumpster fire the left created are getting tired of constantly getting burned.

Who did they not vote to prevent? I don’t know about this so I’m just curious

None of Democrats’ witnesses in a congressional hearing Tuesday could say resolutely that they believe only citizens should be able to vote in a federal election.

During a Senate Judiciary Hearing on the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, Republican Utah Sen. Mike Lee asked the witnesses to provide a basic “yes” or “no” answer to a series of questions about non-citizens voting.

“Do you believe that only citizens of the United States should be able to vote in federal elections?” Lee asked each of the witnesses.

“We don’t have a position about non-citizens voting in federal elections, we believe that’s what the current laws are, and so we’re certainly fighting for everyone who is eligible under current law to vote,” Executive Director of The Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law Damon T. Hewitt said.

Illegal aliens are not citizens and should never vote in our elections. Legal immigrants have followed the rules and not cut in line & have legally gone through a process to earn the right to vote. The floundering Democrat Party is importing this unvetted base in hopes of saving their corrupt Socialist/Marxist dictatorship in perpetuity.

Halcyonix, this is also why Dems don't want voter ID. They have no moral compass and will cheat to win as most Americans are onto them & will not vote for them again.

Dems are stacking the deck with illegals... because they get counted in the census, giving them more representatives in Congress... They're packing Congress in their favor...

I agree with and understand what you’re getting at. Heaven doesn’t have strict immigration laws though.

Halcyonix_Memes, I made this meme yesterday after being inspired by your comment. I am so glad you are inquisitive and thoughtful. Young people are being led down the wrong path in education today and I hope you continue to question things and not accept the liberal agenda.

The bigger threat to America's existence is 'open borders', NOT 'climate change'!

Lol re heaven! Glad you 'get it' and wish more young people would embrace 'common sense' over 'nonsense'.

I don’t have strong opinions on a majority of political issues. Gun rights is the one I care about most

That is extremely important so that is a good start. When I was your age, I didn't think about politics at all. I met my husband at 19 and he was (and still is) the smartest man I have ever known and a strong Republican.

Really since Obama was so obviously divisive and not for America, I got extremely interested in where our country was headed. I was raised with good values and know the difference between right and wrong.

My advice to you is if something doesn't make sense, (i.e. liberal policies and double standards) reject it. Let your conscience be your guide and good for you for asking questions and learning. HM.

Also, what gave you the impression that I am young? You ain’t wrong but how’d you guess?

We have raised two children and have five grandchildren. I have always loved kids, have been fascinated with genetics and studied childhood development, sociology, psychology, etc. in college.

I have talked to numerous young folks on imgflip hoping to encourage them to look at the facts (and not their feelings) to make their decisions in life. I hope to influence them in a good way.

One of my favorite 'so true quotes' goes something like...

“If you are not liberal at 20, you have no heart and if you are not conservative at 40 you have no brain.”

As for your question re being 20, HM, it is not an age specific. I have read of the quote using 25, 35 and even 40 as the given number. I love your mention of having a heart and a brain. Nothing wrong with combining both. Feel comfortable with your viewpoints but make sure you can back them up with facts. And always care about people. I feel the Dems have disregarded the middle class w/ ignoring and lying about Bidenomics & inflation, and placing Americans behind illegal aliens.

Common sense has taken a back seat for Leftists these days....Clown World! If you have read at all about 'Common Sense Conservatives', have you ever heard of 'Common Sense Liberals'? I have not and that is because they have embraced the radical side of life devoid of any sense or reason, IMO.

So if I’m somewhere in the middle at 20 does that mean I have a heart and a brain? Or just part of both? Or am I just confused (according to the logic of the quote anyways)

tbh I’ve seen double standards and inconsistencies on both sides in all issues. I don’t think any one side is right about all things. I think there’s some things that the liberals do get right, but there’s a lot of stuff that I don’t agree with and the same goes for conservatives. I also think debates around these topics is too focused on “winning the argument” and not enough on what is actually right. I also think people have become too concerned with party lines and immediately shut down anything that comes from the opposite side without actually considering its implications. Maybe I’m just young and I’ll figure it out as I grow up and yadda yadda but that’s what I have observed so far. I was kind of young during Obama but I started paying attention after Trump got elected and I started noticing the intense polarization. I was raised in a fairly moderate family that takes stances from both sides on different issues. Some of my beliefs have changed over the years but I haven’t swung towards one side or the other

Years ago, it really was okay to straddle the parties cuz the Democrats still had some moral principles. Today, you straddle the fence and you will be without a country.

1. The open borders issue is pure insanity and most people see that and reject it. Illegal aliens break our laws be here while our current president encourages the invasion.

2. The lawless liberals have put our citizens lives at risk. Follow the news and see how many dead Americans we have due to poor policies from Democrats placing Americans last. Robbing stores and stealing have little to no consequences due to liberal policies.

3. The DEI education foisted upon young impressionable minds is child abuse, in my opinion. The gay and trans agendas do not belong anywhere near public schools.

That posted prematurely as I am on my phone and touched 'post comment' by mistake. Anyway, I will take that as a sign as I was just trying to give you a few things to think about. Let your head and your conscience be your guide, HM.

There are many that will hear, "Depart from me for I never knew you." "No one cometh to the Father except by me." Sounds like fairly strict to me.

Imo “you’re in or you’re out” doesn’t sound strict to me cause all you have to do to get in is accept him into your heart

It is an easy path to choose. Sadly, most won't, but they also won't like their final destination. The criteria for admittance is extremely well defined and immutable, that's kind of the definition of strict.

Anyone not born in the US with at least one parent who is a citizen is a non citizen. A person here illegally whether through an illegal border crossing or overstaying a visa would be an example of a non citizen. An asylum seeker is also not a citizen until they file a petition to change their status. Legal immigrants, those that follow the rules, can eventually become citizens and can't vote til they do.
