Other such reasons he was crowned as the worst director was because of continuity issues or set problems. He couldn't afford to do many reshoots with his budget and didn't stress the small stuff. He believed that filmmaking was about the big picture and people wouldn't pay attention to all the small issues.
Other than directing, Ed Wood also produced, wrote scripts, and acted a bit. He was also a published author. Unfortunately, his projects didn't make him much money. He became a drunk, had a hard time even affording rent or keeping a place to live at, and made let's say adult films and exploitation films as money got tighter. Even with that, I still admire Ed Wood very much.
