... and then it goes on to say that the basic 2 qualifiers of the criteria of the Right shall not be infringed.

The first being
1) Keep
... and the second is
2) Bare

....so what is the point, besides being a silly little OUTSTANDING observer ?

....maybe it is to share your weird perception or bizarre partial interpretation out of context...

Go to the rural people and baffle 'em with the God given urban dazzling intellect of Brilliance!

Bear*

Such irony.

It goes on to say its operative clause ("the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed") after following its prefatory clause ("A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State") - the how, following the reason why.

In other words, the Second Amendment gives the God given right to get conscripted into service. For free. And it's a BYOGun deal as well, as they had to supply their own guns and ammo.

This is correct.

This was instituted into the constitution after the articles of confederation almost lead to a coup in the early days of America. A coup only averted because Washington calmed down his soldiers who hadn’t been paid for their service by the federal institution in charge of our first failed government.

Congress wanted no standing army to avoid future possible uprisings but did fund a navy because they were afraid of future British incursions.

Interesting, not exactly something you hear much in history class or documentaries and whatnot as well.

Because it goes against the narrative of America being the most bad ass country ever when in reality our first government was so toothless and in effective it almost killed America in its infancy and we failed miserably on our first attempt.

But yeah look up extra credits history on the articles of confederation it’ll blow your mind how bad we biffed it.

Plus the narrative of the USA as this is amazingly perfect smoothly installed egalitarian society dreamed up by these God-like Founding Fathers with the loftiest of goals who got the Creator Himself to anoint us with rights and a personage unlike any ever visited upon any mere mortal elsewhere ever in the history of humankind.

Eh weirdly enough had it not been the actions of a few of the founding fathers the articles of confederation would have failed even harder.

But the fact Washington called it a many headed hydra incapable of going in one direction and forced him to plunder food with worthless ious at valley forge says enough.

That being said they were fallable lucky they were just self aware enough to the point it got the ball rolling.

Plundering food! wow!

Yeah, it sure ended up getting us somewhere, only wasn't a smooth going as we'd like to pretend.

I know right? And apparently screwing over veterans is apparently an American past time so old it predates America!
0 ups, 10mo
That always makes for smart maintenance of power: use army to establish it, screw them over afterwards because that always works!
