I personally think because there are so many problems with mail in voting, that we should be able to opt out of it.

Mostly this sort of thing happens as a growing grass roots nation-wide demand for meaningful reform with politicians understanding that they either do this or risk getting voted out of office. Unfortunately so far only conservative voters ever carry through on that threat. So there are problems.

On the other hand there are some indications that at least some Dem Party voters are finally getting alarmed over the real world consequences for the leftist weaponization of the 'justice' system -- with Blacks and Hispanic-Americans now leaving the Party in droves -- and the host of other nation-harming leftist issues.

That statement is grounds for overturning on appeal. It is such a gross violation of oath of office he should be disbarred and the court should be sanctioned, reimbursing Trump’s legal fees.
