REMEMBER WHEN THE GOVERNMENT SPENT ALL THAT MONEY ON COVID? IMAGINE IF THE GOVERNMENT SUPPORTED THE PEOPLE CHRONICALLY ILL OR TRYING TO TREAT CANCER WITH MONTHLY EMPLOYMENT CHECKS, AND COVERED MEDICAL EXPENSES AND FUNERAL COSTS... THIS IS WHAT THEY DID FOR PEOPLE WHO CAUGHT, SURVIVED OR DIED FROM COVID, WHY NOT APPLY IT TO OTHER ILLNESSES? IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE SOMEONE IN THE GOVERNMENT HOLDS A GUILTY CONSCIENCE. | image tagged in memes, sparta leonidas, dbag government | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Fyi it takes 6+ months to get on SSI or SSDI and you can't make gainfull employment income for those 6 months then if you get approved you have to wait 2 years to get Medicare. As for Medicaid it depends on the state you live, and is also income based determined. So for someone working while receiving cancer treatments they have to rely on their employer, or private insurance coverage, while in the process of trying to qualify for social security disability or Medicaid. The only instantly approved reason disability gets approved is if the doctor tells them a person has end stage renal failure, or has a illness that will end in death. Still it's not a instant determination that happens in a week, it takes months. And as for Medicaid goes, some states have stricter requirements than others. It depends on how many assets a person owns, and how much money is in the bank. Medical treatments cand eat that all up in a hurry. But still people with cancer don't automatically qualify for Medicaid.

SSDI has a two year hold when receiving Medicare not for sure the wait time for SSI, but the state automatically qualify SSI recipients, regardless of their assets, they could be a millionaire receiving SSI and would have no clue until they no longer qualify for SSI and get switched to SSDI with a yearly certification requirement

Someone who is permanently disabled as a child who lives to be an adult but can never work because of their disability, but has a rich family who donated lots of money, or left inheritance to someone who receives SSI.

People with SSI are only allowed to have a maximum of $2,000 in the bank.

That's a requirement for Medicaid recipients. If someone is terminally disabled and don't have the work credit to qualify for SSDI they can the set up special account to keep their money from the government.

The 600 weekly unemployment check is 3x what someone on social security disability or retirement live on in one month. I would like to see more people try to live off 914 a month compared to what their use to living off. The minimum SSI benefit can be as low as 914. And people were banking 2 k a month with unemployment and part time wages because of reduced hours.

When my hours were reduced during covid I got 600 plus unemployment wage for reduced hours. I made more than than I do now. I clearly remember making more money from the government during covid than my boss ever paid me. Lol .. it was a small business too that kept taking out forgivable covid business loans. Enough so to buy a new delivery truck. I don't feel bad one bit for filing unemployment to get the bonus. I did everything lidget reported my earned wages and also received emergency unemployment till the governor put a stop to it.

Lol yes but during covid if you don't remember hours were cut causing layoffs or reduced hours. It wasn't just money given to people who caught covid through unemployment. The if you caught covid money was supposed to be paid through employer which depended on your employer paying that out. Otherwise the option for filing unemployment because of reduced hours was always available.

I bet a doctor could convince the social security administration otherwise along with a lawyer, or someone who appeals and reapply for social security options. Homeless people apply all the time because they have mental health issues or drug use disorders. It's the only option social workers have when trying to help un-
Rehabbed homeless people get a source of income. It takes rehab and education to get some homeless people into the workforce, but some are just to far gone and will remain homeless untill they figure out how to manage life. Still 914 dollars won't pay a months rent. That's why this nation has some huge problems when it comes to the way the government spends money and who they spend the money on.
