The only thing that can end the drug war (without simply making it legal) is people no longer doing the drugs.

And if the increasing possibility that fentanyl (a drug that can easily kill you the first time you do it ) is in almost every kind of available drug there is..... If THAT doesn't stop people from doing drugs (one way or another 💀), idk what will.

Or just make it almost impossible to get (like checking all imported products) so there is no chance for drugs to enter

Unless you curb the demand, making drugs harder to get just increases the price/profit.... and thus increases the incentive to find another way to bring them in (or make them here).

Well, there would not be another way in, so drug dealers would have to make their own. But that’s why we can have law enforcement around the country given a required 1 or 2 officers that will act undercover and reveal potential makers or dealers, since foreign suppliers are out.

Why wouldn't there be another way in? How are the Feds going to check every single imported product? and the trucks, cars, etc that they travel in? You don't think the cartels can get their own drug sniffing dogs to see if their product and trucks pass the sniff test?

Under cover agents rarely bust drug kingpin type guys at the top... And even when they do, it's basically whack-a-mole. You knock 1 boss out of the game, another sees the opening/ opportunity and takes over.

Then with the dealers and suppliers caught, they are arrested and then the government can just scare the people away from drugs. Even if it means executing major suppliers.

Nah... Addicts and opportunists will always find a way. That's why the drug war will never be won. I would bet the bank, the farm, and the kitchen sink on that.

Maybe if we were no longer a free country and America turned into like a communist prison or something.. but even then... I mean... they can get drugs into prison too! So idk.
