i've seen it spelt like "war shore shore shore sauce"

As somebody who grew up in Massachusetts, I always laugh when the city of Worcester makes the national news, and the TV personalities stumble over how to pronounce that location.

People who live there pronounce the city name as “Wuh-ster”.

i mean tbf, "war-chest-er" isn't THAT hard to pronounce and i'd assume that's close enough to the original intended pronounciation
