Gas Prices Under Biden Administration

And, to be clear, it doesn't make sense at all. That's why there's no real logical thought on it.

So, it goes like this.

MAGA: THESE BIDEN POLICIES ARE MAKING GAS PRICES HIGHER!!!!!

Sensible people: But the President doesn't have control over the price of gas.

MAGA: BIDEN IS RUINING THE ECONOMY WITH HIGH GAS PRICES. BIDENOMICS!!!!!!!

Sensible people: okay... but the price of gas has steadily declined down to where it was at the start of the Biden Adminstration. So... if his policies drove it up then his policies clearly also brought it down. If he's responsible for it going up then he's also responsible for it going down.

MAGA: THAT IS BEYOND SCIENCE. ONLY AMERICAN EXCEPTIONALISM BRINGS DOWN GAS PRICES. BIDENOMICS!!! SOMETHING SOMETHING INFLATION!!! BIDEN ONLY MAKES PRICES GO UP. NOT DOWN.

You did not explain the logic behind saying that the President doesn't control gas prices when they went up but that the President does control gas prices when they go down.

Can you explain the logic behind that statement that without inserting MAGA or Trump?
