You don't seem to understand clearly the Civil Rights Movement or American history in general. For one thing, the Civil Rights Movement began in the 1950s. Monuments to Union soldiers also peaked around 1910. You may want to get off your hamster wheel and look around and ask questions. Another point you missed is that racism was every bit as strong in the North and West as it was in the South so why is Southern history and culture special?

Civil rights in America began with the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments to the Constitution between 1865 and 1870.

Southern whites, who spent four years demonstrating they were not a superior race with a divine mandate to own darker humans, did not care for this and have spent the intervening years attempting to subjugate those peoples.

And this of course continues to this day with attacks on the VRA, and creating insurmountable barriers between those folks and their right to vote.

Please explain how backs are denied the right to vote, also what is the VRA? You might also want to explore racism in the North and West. I don't think you are familiar. Housing and job discrimination, no-go zones, etc. Marxists have to do a lot of fact-twisting to make history fit their model, lots of cherry-picking and making up facts. Half the truth is as good as a lie.

Almost as if Liberals took strides in stopping it up North and West, while the South was forced to stop - a major reason the Conservative Movement/Reich Wing became a thing.

The Conservative movement did not begin until about the 1980s many years after Civil Rights. No one accosted it of being racist until recently. The Conservative Movement was about family values and smaller government. Leftists call everyone they don't like racist so the word has no meaning anymore.
