Agreed but who would be the king or queen? And would they pay for everybody's sales tax? Could we live with ourselves if a queen or king was ruling for 30 + years, and would a Parliament answer to a ruler that was forced to remain sovereign? Would this ruler give up their right to vote in elections to remain sovereign?

The king or queen would be whoever would be the best at ruling, naturally. I mean, it is not often that a completely inept idiot can make their way into a throne like how politicans make it to office within a democratic society. As for parliament, it really depends on how constitutional or liberal the monarchy is.
