Coincidentally, I have been re-reading my Pacific Theater WWII texts and memoirs this past month. My father was a veteran and an enlisted man on a Fletcher Class Destroyer. His vessel was sunk off Okinawa after a Kamikaze plane finished the job that other Kamikaze planes started.

My future father-in-law was on Okinawa itself and saw my father's ship go down. Neither man was a fan of the politicians of the day; and for good reasons.

People forget America has always used political families to govern. True a few outsiders get in the club, but most are forced out and the same families pull the same crap with the same results for generations. At least now people can see we are no longer free, that lie is busted.

Yes, history is not just for historians, and revelations are not just for the religious. People paying attention to what is happening inside the United States also comprehend why it is happening . . . party loyalty be damned.

I vote person over party locally, choke when forced to vote party nationally but my bigger concern is 2024. It can go one of two ways: the elite force Trump out and I don't vote at all, or he gets into office and a mass number of Rinos dump the party giving control of congress to the left and his power is removed. Either way, I am thinking 2024 is America's last election.

I believe you are absolutely correct that 2024 is the last election, for the US. The outcome of the next election will decide if the US lasts 4 years..or 6 months. Even the most optimistic of time lines, will not be stress free. The path the US is on is beyond unsustainable. Once the US has been dismantled, the people of the world, good and bad, will be hard pressed to survive in the NWO. The liberal path, arguably, is a 'Fast and Furious' level super highway to destruction. Man made 'climate issues' will not be what destroys humanity. It will, instead, be humanity destroying humanity at the behest of unseen forces in complete rebellion against God.

Yes; all one needs to do is read history -- not the leftist revised history; but REAL history.

If any nation deserves its fate, it is this one, you would have to look really hard to find an evil that this nation has not attempted to push on the rest of the planet.

It will likely be that last true presidential election, yes.

It seems, lately certainly, that the main reason our Front line defense is allowed to take weapons, armament, and equipment into the field is to allow the opposing forces access to our equipment.

While I agree with your sentiments, those soldiers portrayed by Tom Lea were from whole ‘nother era.
They , for the most part , volunteered in droves to kick Japan’s ass. In fact, back then, there were many who cried their eyes out if they weren’t accepted into the military. Som even committed suicide. Back then, if you weren’t in the service, something was wrong with you.
Additionally, the reasons for fighting were clear.

You calling them “professional targets” demeans them, not the “cowardly politicians”.

I think my discussion with Charles about how little has changed over the years confused you. The meme is about our woke professional targets currently undergoing almost daily attacks and not being allowed or able to respond. I think what serves as media is lying about the numbers and casualty rates.

Not confused.
I have reason to object to the use of “The Thousand Yard Stare” as your meme template.
I already indicated my reasons.
There are plenty of good photos an art from Korea an Vietnam that would better illustrate your spot-on assessment of politicians today.
No harm or disrespect intended in the least.

I see your point, I am a combat vet myself, with much respect for our forefathers but I wanted a thousand-yard stare to show how weak I consider our current troops. The soy boys we have now look like that after their first rocket strike. It took years of sustained combat to impact our greatest generation the same way.

Any military force that can't defend its own homeland should not be overseas as targets for someone else's wars.

I don't plan on using that template again, but it fit my message for today.

You are correct.

No shit, Sherlock?
I was merely pointing out that the war that painting is from is WWII, fighting against Japan on some Pacific island, Peleliu, to be exact. Eack one of those Marines were volunteers and new exactly why he was there.
At that time, there was no ambiguity about the fight was about.
Biden and Company want very much to send our forces into Ukraine, but know that the American people won’t stand for it.
