In Jan 2020, I looked at studies on masks. Surgical masks were designed primarily to prevent infections from spittle in open wounds during surgery. They do very little to protect the wearer from viral aerosol infection. Even the revered N95 mask lets 5% pass through.
Social distancing outside by shutting down beaches and parks is totally a waste, and diminishes natural immune boosting VitD from sunlight.
