I agree, he got what he had coming. If a thief walks in and points a gun at somebody whatever happens after that is on the THIEF, not the victim. I don't buy the "Well, he didn't SHOOT the clerk" defense. What's the clerk supposed to do, wait until he's been shot? Red state jury: clerk gets a good citizenship (and shooting) award. Blue state jury: he gets hung for refusing to be a victim..
