I've was once an assembly technician for a major wind turbine manufacturer.

I have tinkered with wet cell batteries, small hydroelectric turbines placed in a creek, small DIY wind turbines...produced enough electricity to charge a phone or led lights to see by.

I have done some initial reading of the literature on a similar process as you described but using one's home sewage as the methane source.

I was more interested for use as emergency power but now I am more inclined to look at producing full time electricity that can't be shut off due to my extremely low ESG score.

I have done some research on materials and feasibility. But I do not have the money or expertise to build a prototype. All of the equipment needed could be obtained "off the shelf" Here's how I see this working:

Cow craps. Once a day the crap is collected int large bins and placed in shipping container "oven." Methane rises and is collected in hoods which feed it to generators where it is burned and produces electricity. Filters on Generator capture co2 for disposal. When the methane has been burned the crap bins are removed, The contents of the bins are bagged and sold as fertilizer.

The electricity could be stored on batteries for use in running the Dairy Farm or for sale.

At some point the gas would have to be compressed and run through an injector to be burned otherwise it would just flash burn all at once.

When Methane it burned it produces co2. Far less co2 than coal or oil. We could convert all coal and oil power plants to Natural Gas tomorrow and Global Warming would slow down. Carbon capture filters on these plants would make them almost perfect. Stop closing Nuclear Power Plants. If possible, take Nuclear Power Plants out of mothballs. Fusion Plants are an answer that is about a decade from practicality.
