Dec. 25 is not the date

Actually the Bible mentions no date. Some Biblical scholars estimate that Jesus may have been born as early as April or May.

The week of Dec 21-25 was assigned by the older Catholic church...a date used by Romans on the solstice, when they worshipped the sun. The original Biblical calendar (Hebrew) was based on a 10 month year...not 12 months. The Romans added 2 months to make the current 12 month calendar....which puts Jesus's birth around the beginning of October. Read the book of Luke; sheep and shepards would not be outside in the dead of winter. And we still use the Biblical calendar in a sense: the last four months? Sept, Oct, Nov, Dec....or in latin is 7, 8, 9, 10.

Book of Luke:
"Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month ."
The Original Hebrew calendar in the Bible does not have January and February. The new year is End of March...near Passover or easter.
Jesus' cousin John was conceived in the 6th month...which then was August. So John was born nine months later, around March or April. It has been researched John was 6 months older than Jesus...meaning Jesus was born late September or early October.

A difference of opinion about Jesus's birth month hardly equates to "hatred for all things Christian". It's certainly not a fire that needs to be put out with your gasoline.
