What is it with the Arabs and Jews castrating blacks? The Arabs and some Jews traded in African slaves for a thousand years and imported millions into the Middle East but you can’t find any substantial population because they castrated nearly all of them when they brought them in.

As we're talking about a far longer stretch of time and at lesser numbers at any given moment than would have been used in the Americas with its more arable land and a greater need for workers, many of the descendents of slaves in the Old World got absorbed into the local population to the point that over generations there was little to distinguish them.

There are descendents of slaves in the ME, some in distinct communities.
Most simply integrated into the general society, as it isn't as big a deal with them and segregation unnecessary.

All wrong, slavery was still being practiced by Arabs 50 years after the American civil war. The volume of slaves was greater than in the transatlantic slave trade.
