Probably because nobody is trying to put garbage in the school library.

They have all the banned books that are being banned accross the country in every single library.. The difference.. In Alabama.. Libarians by law are not required to participate in book bans or book removals. Each library gets to make their own decisions as to books within their library under state law.

Public libraries or school libraries?

Public Libraries.. School libraries are separate and are managed via school board of educations.. Afterall.. In Alabama schools they taught that slavery was a good thing for over 70 years because of "parental rights".. Racists wanted racist ideology taught in schools so they got what they wanted.

You obviously missed that I asked public libraries OR school libraries.

You "omg racism" blurb is nonsense.

If parent's don't have rights the don't have responsibilities.

Why do you people always want something for nothing and advocate the sexualization of children?

Wait.. you mean all the Little Miss Skimpy bikini shows all across the country?? Oh wait.. no.. your talking about books.. you have more of a problem with "books" that no one is forced to check out, forced to look for.. forced to do anything in a library.. than for half naked 6-10 year old girls dressed in skimpy outfits on stage parading around to be a target for perverted old men. Just sayin

You seem to have attended those events.

You gave a lot of information on them.

The books are in school libraries and ARE being pushed at prepubescent kids.

I am unapologetically against this.

I am unapologetically against infant, toddler, even teen "beauty" pageants.

I am unapologetically against drag shows for under 18 kids.

I am unapologetically against teachers providing any instruction to kids that goes beyond abc123.

I am sorry Donald Trump 2.0.. Your projection will not work on me. I just think its dumb what some people are "pissed about"... no one is forcing anyone's child to check out books.. most parents in this country would love for their kids to check out books.. but all this hype will just lead to children not wanting to read books at all.. the dumbing down of America... And suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuure... you are unapologetically against this that and the other.. but then vote for the very people that are for those things.. who have made laws allowing child pageants. If you are concerned about children.. focus of the sexualization that is happening right now all across the country of underage kids 6-10 years old being paraded around for their bodies... Don't attack books that no one is ever forced to read, checkout, etc...

And when I say they taught slavery was a good thing. It taught us such things as... Slavery was the first form of social security in the United States. Slave masters treated their slaves like family members and gave them the best medical care that the times could offer. It was a book called "Alabama History For Schools" by Charles Grayson Summersell

And it hasn't been taught for over a hundred years after that.

Your alarmism is a failure.

I reckon you are giving their children books with explicit depictions of gay sex to get even.

I am not over 100 years old. I am speaking to what "I LEARNED" in school in Alabama and with what textbook I was taught from.. That is not a 100 year old textbook...

Exactly.

The information your modern textbook is citing, however, is 100 years old.

I think its time to let go and move on.

And??? Trump fans are still waiving Confederate Flags all over the place.. They lost 158 years ago and they can't let that go. The Irony of them telling people to go back to their own country is.. They are holding the flag of a country that no longer exists in the country that defeated it... And your worried about books.. laughable..

Always Trump...always race...

You don't find that laughable?

I don't think I'm worried about your history book so much as I am concerned about your psychology.

But since you brought up this 100 year old Alabama history book I have to ask you - why did they stop using it as a textbook?

That's the way it should be in America.

Why should it be the way of America to make available and promote young children being exposed to pornographic literature?

The irony is the law was setup a long time ago... So even Republicans in Alabama who have a chokehold on the state cannot force books to be removed...

Good.
