I play bass so it is practically impossible to relearn finger weight for strings when bass takes a lot of weight and guitar takes a little

It's not strumming I find problematic, but using my fingers to press down on the strings. No amount of training or practice I can ever put in will ever improve it. I can't even play Guitar Hero.
