Exactly. The amount of regulations we face as small business owners is absurd. I'd like to think it's just the particular sector we're in, but that would be self-delusion.

It's *almost* like the socialists in Sacramento don't really want small businesses to succeed here in Taxifornia.

That's gotta hurt!

Taxes are the dues you pay to live in a civilization.

You don't like those roads? Those light posts? That sewage system? You don't like that standing military?

Feel free to leave.

No one is demanding that you stay.

Because America: Love It or Leave It.

That's about the most inaccurate take I've seen regarding non-neolibs' views on taxes in a long time.

Spending $30 TRILLION dollars that we don't have is not the "dues you pay to live in a civilization." It's nothing more than reckless deficit spending that will tie the hands of future generations, saddling them with debt they didn't rack up, well after we're all dead and gone. And they're going to hate us. I don't blame them. I hate us, too.

I want smaller govt and lower taxes, period. That doesn't mean I am unwilling to pay taxes. As you tried, but failed to point out with inapplicable examples relative to govt over-spending, taxes are the cost of doing business.

When people with some sense of fiscal responsibility take over the federal govt (because at some point, they'll have to, or we're Venezuela...) and the neolibs are whining and crying because Uncle Sam won't wipe their ass for them any more, the tables will be turned and those who don't like living sensibly, within our means, can feel free to leave, because absolutely nobody will be demanding that they stay.

Who do you think has fiscal sense?

Just right off the top of your head- who is that?

Yes!!!

You should spend some time and see which political party runs the deficit up the most and which one enacted policies like "Tax & Spend"- specifically, if you increased spending in any area you had to increase taxes to pay for it.

Anyone who's been awake the past few years (well, since January 21, 2021) can clearly see which party is spending billions and trillions of dollars that we don't have. As opposed to the other party, which makes patently feeble attempts to pretend like they're trying to reign in reckless deficit spending, but of course fails because they really love to spend as well.

Both political parties are responsible. You should spend some time and look into that.

Oh. Oh. You're mad about deficit spending?

Did you just learn about that?

If you're mad about what happened since 2021 wait till you learn about the deficit spending under the Trump administration. Especially since he alone added 25% to the bill.

Or the Bush 2 administration.

Or the Bush 1 administration.

And you're really gonna be pissed off about Reagan.

Or are you engaging in the normal conservative BS that only cares about deficit spending when there's a Democrat in office?

The "the democrats buy votes" thing is hilarious.

That's the point of politicians.

Enact the policies I want and I will vote for you.

Why do you think you vote for Republicans?

They buy your vote with their policies- you know, spending billions on the military and the police while letting people starve.

They waste a lot of money,….

And?

So do corporations.

Should it be encouraged? No

Should it be reviewed under elected oversight? Absolutely.

But when corporations lose money they go bankrupt unless they get bailed out by taxpayers.

That's why oversight and accountability are necessary.

That way we can avoid things like how Representative Granger handed a billion dollar project off to her very unqualified son to run (Panther Island in Fort Worth).

But oversight and accountability does not prevent waste.

Just because something might be used wastefully doesn't mean we shouldn't do things.

If that were the case, we shouldn't have any kind of budget for the Department of Defense.
0 ups, 6mo
We should gut the budget and fired the all the administrators and then staffs.
