No infrastructure improvements no technological advancements, no upgraded living conditions for the people; just more weapons of war spent on their increasingly insane hatred of Israel. This is true. How can these people not understand that Israel is an economic, technological, and industrial dynamo in the region? It promotes as much freedom as is practical under the circumstances and believes in higher education as a matter of necessity. The people hating on Israel would far, FAR prefer living inside Israel than inside the Gaza strip (before this war started).

And this is everday life, not during some emergency lock down.

I agree. I did stipulate that as much freedom as practical for the region. They are a nation under continuous siege of some sort. It is seldom that at least some rockets have not been launched into Israeli territory on a monthly basis for at least the last decade. They are surrounded by enemies that want them eliminated from the Earth . . . and they know it. So relative freedom for some and less for others. It's not ideal, but it is both practical and a survival necessity.
