Obviously you probably know all of the following, but it serves as a rough recap of general history:

Mostly Jews have traditionally been targeted because the truly religious among them have always been outsiders in any community that they settled into after their diaspora as a people and therefore were also always very convenient targets of local political types looking to blame the outsiders for -- usually -- the cultural or economic problems that their own corrupt practices actually caused. That in turn leads to the other issue.

The Catholic Church as it was established and grew was firmly against Money Lending and exorbitant interest rates -- except where their own frequently corrupt leaders inside the Church itself were concerned. In many Jewish communities inside various regions and then later on, nations, Jews WERE the money lenders and then bankers and very often also the landlords. Naturally they were HATED and ENVIED by many in the non-Jewish populations around them especially hated by the tenets living inside what frequently amounted to hovels or just squalor -- again . . . usually CAUSED by the laws made by the very same local politicians and corrupt government that aimed the ire of poor people at Jews.

So it ultimately boils down to the human proclivity to blame a vulnerable group for all of their own miseries and to politicians carefully AIMING the ire of those people at Jews rather than letting them stop and actually closely examine the life style and habits of said politician or local government.

Your description of Jews as "money lenders then bankers and very often landlords" who where "a vulnerable group" seems to be an incongruity. As people controlling the money/assets are not the vulnerable in most societies. There must be other factors, yes?

Controlling money, yes, but seldom if ever the local government. Consistently Jews were excluded from grasping political reins of power and thus they did not have a police force or army inside nations to protect them. Usually their only protection was in the form of BOUGHT politicians and officers of the law and in the operation of the Rule of Law itself . . . whenever it wasn't purposefully skewed against them. But it was also an individual region and nation thing. How they existed and how much control or influence they managed depended on the degree of civilization around them and specific laws. Some had it better and safer than others.

But that's was just a very shallow re-cap off the top of my head from research decades ago. It's inevitably going to miss stuff and even get some of it wrong. Most people are not going to do any deeper study of this, however.

Mostly -- as European history goes -- it seems to be a pattern of local hatred ginned up by local politicians against a vulnerable and isolated group that CAN safely be targeted to take pressure off of politicians for the consequences that their own laws and corruption made possible in the first place. Again, that is in itself a simplification.

They were always “thinkers” in a world full of “laborers”. It’s jealousy from a group of uneducated and animalistic barbarians who didn’t (and still don’t) understand that most Jews use their brains instead of their hands.

There is that.

So you're saying Jewish people are above labor? That Jewish people are smarter than everyone else?

No, you are saying that Jewish people are above labor, not me. Hamas and most Muslims echo your sentiment, which has led to 4000+ years of hatred.

Jewish people value education. They always have. Value doesn’t equate to smarts. Work is work. Some people use their hands. Some people use their heads. All of it contributes to society.

At the end of the day, it seems that the blue collar workers always resents the white collar workers.

Your words are meandering between definition. Confusing. You say "They (Jews) were thinkers". Followed by "in a world full of laborers"...everyone else. Further, you state "Jewish people value education" - a statement standing alone inferring other people do not. Then your statement that blue collar workers resent while collar further muddies your intention. All rather condescending one might think.

Of course it was condescending. Only an idiot would think that Jews teach their children how to hammer nails & dog ditches, instead of preparing a profit/loss statement.

Since I feel you are sincere in your query, please allow me to chime in.

The Arab world was a burgening civilization on the cusp of greatness. They excelled in mathematics, science and literature.

At some point that all changed. These days they dispise education to the point of throwing acid in the faces of girls, and bombing schools that have the audacity to teach them.

You will note that Jews on the other hand (like Chinese Tiger Moms) push their children to become doctors, lawyers and other professionals.

Yes, my search to understand is genuine. I understand how a lack of value and respect for education would create a hostile environment in that area of the world. But why in Germany? Why in Russia? Why in pockets of other countries around the world? The experience elsewhere is not the same. Certainly Germany, the USA etc value education. And as for the issue of banking and money mentioned in previous responses, why are the Swiss not reviled similarly as Jewish people seem to allege?

Bigotry?

That's a possibility, but bigotry is a learned behavioral way of thinking. It seems statistically unlikely that so many cultures across several continents and millennia would develop bigotry toward the same people.

True enough.
Plain old fashioned ignorance, p’raps?

Might be.

Coin clipping, no loyalty to the host country, blood libel, poisoning wells, opening gates to foreign enemy forces, usuary, although that one can be blamed on Christians who thought it was okay only if someone else did it, communism, pornography and prostitution, pushing feminism, homosexuality and transgenderism, funding both sides of wars, domination of the media. Betrayal to claimed allies. Invading Palestine and stealing more land illegally with settlements. Should I go on?

Now, I'm not saying I believe any of these obvious anti-semitic tropes with no possible connection to reality that happens but I'm telling you what others believed and caused some disagreement.

Rome allowed its citizens freedom of religion - as long as they kept at least a token altar display at home devoted to the Roman Emperor & Gods.

Jews and Christians refusing to do this because it was idolotry and a violation of their belief in a one God made them suspect, even as potential enemies, as they wouldn't have this display of allegiance to their host.

And thus the persecution of both till Constantine made Christianity the state religion in the 4th Century, leaving Jews the sole target of that ire.

Meanwhile, Christianity had been pulling ever farther away from Judaism, altering their beliefs, and the schism exacerbated by the fact that the Jews were still the Chosen, and Yahweh was THEIR God. How can a splinter sect consisting of an ever growing number of Pagan converts claim to be legit when they're borrowers plus there's that nagging bit of the central message of Jesus as Savior being disregarded by Jews?

So the demonization got focused on Jewish people and every little difference got the neon treatment as a sign of how apart they were from a society stomping out all other faiths.

Continue on that course for two millenia and.... basically jealousy heavily sprinkled with suspicion of the perpetual 'other' makes for a volatile mix.
