Gonna be honest- I don't understand the middle part.

McCarthy didn't "always" vote with the Democrats. Not even frequently. I'll agree to a sometimes.

But not always. No where near always.

MAGA living rent free in our heads. Okay, sure, whatever, they are a threat and need to be dealt with in one way or another.

But...

In what way do they want a functioning government?

They are literally the reason the Republicans, the majority party, couldn't even bring a spending bill debate to the floor.

Not the bill itself. But a debate about the bill.

They have said they want to shut the government down.

How is that a government that functions to serve the people?

It's literally shut down. It can't function.

And the budget they did want would never have made it through the Senate. And it certainly would have been vetoed by Biden.

How is that functional?

Cute talking points, it reminds me of all the defund the police and open the border activists that have since been made painfully aware of their mistakes. MAGA did not fire McCarthy, Democrats did. However, MAGA is the only group that demands congress follow its own rules and laws, when they fail, they oust them, or try.

McCarthy paying for his failures should not bother near as much as all the others in congress that are forcing Americans to do without while sending our national wealth and our collective futures to foreign countries, countries that hate us, bribe our leaders, impact our elections, steal our secrets, mock us and could eventually own us.

MAGA most certainly did fire McCarthy. Why should the Democrats save him? He went back on just about every promise he made to them. And the few he did keep, he'd go on national TV talk shows and blame the Democrats for the thing they helped him pass.

Like this last Sunday. The MAGA wing was literally blocking any attempts to bring a budget bill of any kind to the floor. He made a deal with the democrats. Passed the continuing resolution. And then the next day was on the political talk shows claiming it was the Democrats forcing the shut down.

Why save a guy who blames you for everything?

Forcing Americans to do without?

Who is that, exactly?

The Democrats who want to expand healthcare? Expand social security? Expand the budgets for education? Make college free? Reduce drug prices for seniors?

Or the MAGA wing that wanted massive cuts to SNAP, Medicare, social security and other programs? (you can read the cuts they wanted to make here: https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/BILLS-118hr2811ih/pdf/BILLS-118hr2811ih.pdf)

So... which one of those two group would be "making Americans go without."?
