I just saw a news short in which it was revealed that a recharging station designed to keep thirty electric powered tractor trailer trucks charged would require the same power draw as a modest-sized city.
All of this shit is just emotional virtue-signaling by useful idiot leftists; because NONE of them have applied any intellectualism and intelligent research to these pie-in-the-sky fantasies . . . whatsoever.

Don't overlook the HOURS it takes to charge each vehicle.
Two hours of charging to get 3 to 4 hours of driving out of it....250 miles +/-
An 8 hour drive over the river and through the woods to grandmothers house will take you 12 minimum...if you don't have to wait in line for 2 hours behind someone who just beat you to the plug in.
Yep . . . and as Joe Rogan said on one of his podcasts, also these recharging stations are not all going to be located in safe neighborhoods or regions and you are going to be there for -- as you just noted -- for HOURS . . . maybe alone, and very definitely and obviously an easy target.

His re-charge to 80% at a public charging station took nearly four hours and cost $77.
