What_are_you was impersonating who_am_i and harrasing JustaCheemsDoge. And users are getting hated. If you post an image to turkey_gaming's stream, it'll be disapproved with the N WORD in the mod note.

people are turnign this into a competition when the whole goal of the site is to look at memes and have fun. and make them ofc.

but with things like memeplugging and reposting and upvote begging, this isn't really working. you know why? that shows that all that person cares abt is attention. yes you want your meme to be seen but there are a million others who want the exact same thing. I also feel like haters and streams targeting specific groups are making imgflip seem toxic as well.

but the main goal here is to enjoy your life and not focus on if youre on top here or not. because in the end, being top here has no significance. you dont get monetized, you dont get a checkmark next to your name, you don't get fame all over the internet. like even I have tried to make accounts on other sites but no one really cares. in the end you're just someone that made a meme they liked. at least thats what u are to the majority of the people. (making friends here is great as well ofc - engaging with your audience is great but that isn't my point)

so what is my point? dont focus on being on top here, it's not like you gain anything for it except 8 year old simps, and eventually you become so used to it it doesnt even make you feel great, it only makes you feel worse if u drop down from a leaderboard or something. just enjoy your life outside the internet, because u only got one chance at life and you should seize the moment. make memes in the moment, but dont focus on constantly posting, because a day without being noticed is fine. if your followers really care abt u they will comment on them and upvote them anyway.

Points aren't worth anything outside of imgflip. I know I'll get criticism since I'm the #2 user on the site and I have 72 million, but it did take me a while to get here. And I actually enjoyed myself 99% while doing it. That's just my take...but I wish everyone would just stop being so competitive.

We just need to advertise. When I first logged on, it was because of my school. Lots of people from my school were logging on and making accounts. But now, only like two or three of them still remember it. One of my friends from school who introduced it to me has been offline for 7 months. We WILL revive this place.

Yeah, no top users are getting over a million points per week and people like me can’t be bothered to make memes until they get to the top 250, that’s why I decided to do the race in the first place: I would hopefully be more motivated to get there. But that’s not really happened.

Nah tbh it's mostly because of newer users like Existent, MMM, and Flick7. I'm not saying I hate them as people but I'm just saying that the frontpage, etc...you used to be able to get a lot more points before there was any competition. I used to get over 1.4m a week before that all started. Plus, the entire frontpage used to be filled with my memes, whereas now it's scattered all over the place. Ik some people will say that's a good thing but there are some times where I miss the good old days.

Btw, I know the 3 users I mentioned are going to see this comment. I'm just making a statement about how it used to be for me on here.

More and more toxic users daily and daily are destroying imgflip. Whoever turkey is, what_are_you, LolTiktokbetter, Codghostsfan2021, and many more (these are the users I know, and one of them, (LolTiktokbetter) had tried putting negative impacts upon myself
