Amazingly, in those 8 plus years of college, they still got it dead wrong.

Let me tell you a short story, Stanley. Here in the sillycon valley, most of us are highly educated. One of my first jobs after school was with a small software development company. We had an irate customer who, for some reason, crossed the line in terms of how he treated us. One time when he was going off, he started in on us, sort of like you are now with all these college references, about how he had an advanced degree and we didn't know what we were doing, etc.

Our head of development was talking to him to try and calm him down, but of course the guy still went off. Our head of development said that this guys degrees don't matter any more than the 3 advanced degrees he had. The thing is, before saying that, I had no idea what his education was. It struck me then and has stuck with me to this day, that I judged him based on how he did his job, and how he treated people, not because he has advanced degrees. And I didn't think any more of him once I found out.

You guys who attack the very salt of this nation, our working class, in the way you have recently with the insults in several posts about those without even a four year degree could learn a lot about judging people on who they are and what they do, not what they have. In this example, there were two highly educated people, but only one was an asshole.

I'm not sure how this story is relevant as I am not questioning their job as a trucker. I am questioning their knowledge in medicine when they are a trucker. Big difference.

You claim that (we?) are "attacking" the "salt" of our nation. No attacks are being made by taking initiative. The "attacks" are a response to a collection of workers claiming to understand something they know nothing about (at least, nothing that can back up their claims of education - if you were smart enough to be a virologist, why aren't you? Bit of a strawman in this following statement: Why am I not a virologist if I understand it? I don't. I respect the authority of the scientific community because I understand how the research process works and how people check one another. I can follow the math because of my second-hand education in statistics from my wife who talks to me about this stuff constantly.) So, in spite of having hard data which can be challenged, these truckers did not challenge the data and instead, provided case studies. This comprehensive study from PA debunks the Vax Myth. But of course, this isn't about the data or anything serious like this. It's about politics. In this example, the vaccine was made political. The vaccine shows that it is successful in what it does. By great margins as over 600 million vaccinations in the US alone and you're trying to explicitly say that myocarditis is the effect of the vaccine which is true in an extremely small case.

Having said that, this small case is being blown out of proportion to an irrational degree in which even if you are unlikely to suffer serious effects from COVID because of your demographic, the chance of getting myocarditis from COVID itself is (I think) seven times higher than if you took the vaccine. This study was done in Pennsylvania with 50 million samples.

So, because of this, I rightfully question the motives and education of the truckers creating a supply block which in turn damages the economy thereby holding the world hostage because they disagree with politics. Truckers struck first, I respond by my appeals to authority on the matter given their [lack of] credentials.
