We will all become victims of the latest communist revolution- don't take if from me, read what one survivor says...For the Libs | Mao killed over 4 million people during his 10 year cultural revolution; Xi Van Fleet survived Mao's brutal Cultural Revolution, and called Trump’s Georgia indictment and mugshot “one of the darkest moments” she has witnessed. Van Fleet said, “I have to say I think America is quickly becoming a communist country, and our rule of law has been turned into what Marxists call proletarian dictatorship. The party in power is after its political opposition and it is not just the president, but people like activists are now in jail, as political prisoners in the free country of the United States.”; Van Fleet warned, “Now it is Donald Trump and MAGA, but eventually, it is everybody because a communist regime does not tolerate any opposition, any dissenting voice. So they are coming after all of us, including those who are cheering now for Trump’s indictment and think they are on the winning team. They are not. We all will become victims if we let them succeed. Van Fleet concluded, “I really have a word for everybody, including the conservatives: learn a little bit about history and about the Cultural Revolution. What’s happening here is a repeat. Only when people understand the history and the nature of what’s going on, will they wake up.” | image tagged in cultural revolution, plain black | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

I try not to think too much about what these people are willing to do to human beings, all for power. What difference does it really make to them if you are happy, raise a healthy family, love your neighbors and just live your life in peace? To them it is everything, they are so sick that they will stop at nothing to destroy you and me. History tells the story over and over, so it's not a matter of "here we go again." Tyranny has never ended.

Well said. Unfortunately we can tell that almost every leftist posting to this site thinks that politics is just a 'one-upmanship' . . . game that they are play; with nothing for 'all the marbles'.

Apparently history is just a quant set of stories to them -- things that happen only to other people -- and that none of it can or will happen here . . . even as intelligent people with both a knowledge and understanding of history can SEE it happening before their very eyes.

Thank you CharlesHobby. I really appreciate how consistently you swing for the fences with your memes. It seems like most people are getting the idea too late, but at least they are getting the idea. I really can't figure out how to turn things back at this point, it's been almost 150 years in the making, incrementally perverting the entire concept underlying the Untied States.
Not to be a whiner, but I don't know how much longer I'll be permitted to do this. I am under constant assault through the internet, probably 40-60 hacking attempts a day now, some trace back to hostile governments. I started writing a book on the fallacies of Climate Change (kind of my Magnum Opus on the subject) and I'm completely shut down on searching websites to provide links to references, like NASA, DOE, UN, IPCC, etc. When CBDC and ESG fully hit I know I'll be wiped out. Not to worry, I know enough from history to have things in place to survive.
My Dad was a college prof in the 60s-70s. I went deaf for a short time as a little kid, nobody knew because as I was losing my hearing I was teaching myself how to read lips. When I got my hearing back, I couldn't hear enough. I sat and listened to everything. At family reunions I listened to relatives who came to Colorado in covered wagons and what they had to endure, I listened to people talking about the Dust Bowl, sometimes the winds carrying the dust were violent, the most ominous dust storms were the silent, calm ones, when the sun was blotted out without a sound as the dust settled over them. I listened to how people survived the Depression years. Watched Sputnik fly over at night when it was the only manmade satellite, saw Minuteman missiles sticking out of silos during the Cuban Missile crisis, came home from school, turned on the TV in time for JFK's assassination, what was it, 2 days later watched Jack Ruby shoot Lee Harvey Oswald live. Listened to Viet Nam vets tell my Dad what they experienced, listened to Cuban refugees tell their stories, listened to other refugees from communism... you get the idea, I've spent a lifetime aware of this stuff.Keep up the good stuff, and thank you again for challenging the status quo.

I appreciate the compliment, and right back at you Sevenheart. My personal tale is not far from your own.

I grew up among the impoverished and reasonably patriotic-cynical with the single common outside fact being that they were all veterans of either WWI or WWII or Korea -- and usually combat veterans at that. As for myself I do remember working out a great deal of this current stuff back in the late 1970s while serving in the military and scooping ice water from the bilges of a submarine patrolling beneath the artic ice cap region. I was a Nuclear Missile technician. Would I actually help launch nuclear missiles against the then evil empire of the Soviet Union and why would I do so? Why, yes I would have; and the lessons of history dictated that decision. During a couple of months at sea you have got time to work through a great number of things and also learn what to look for within your own nation for future reference.

From what I can tell, almost all of our leftists on Imgflip are hot-house flower types; born to relative fortunate circumstances and convinced that not having enough money for a fourth Starbucks coffee during the day, is a massive hardship. They never applied any critical thinking to the massive load of socialistic and Marxist thinking poured into their ears from professors and skewed text books during their college years. They bought into ALL of the Cultural Marxism as if it were writ by the hand of a new leftist god. Thus they have become a horde of the very same type of Useful Idiots that the old monsters of the Soviet Union chortled about bringing them to power before the leadership either starved to death their -- no longer useful -- useful idiots or simply shot them as excess material no longer NEEDED for the advancement of the interests of the Soviet Union. Nor have I forgotten about the horrors of Communist China and Mao Tse Tung's Cultural Revolution.

As for myself I figure that if the political Left keeps 'winning' eventually I will be slated for re-education camp as a very old man. I won't particularly mind though. I figure it will be worth a final dying laugh.

You are right, a lot of parallels. First off, thanks for spending all that time under water. My great great grandfather(s) were Captains in the CIvil War, one was conscripted by the Confederates, deserted and joined the Union, which of course was an instant death penalty if he had been captured. Had a number of relatives in WWI, but I know vrey little about them. Prior to WWII, my paternal grandfather was a semi-pro softball pitcher, was stationed at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. They asked him to pitch for the base team and he declined. Then they ordered him to pitch. Three of his units shipped out Europe, each time they said, "Leave Mitch behind so the next guys can have a winning team too." Spent the war pitching against other base teams and trying to drive the tracks off of tanks on an obstacle course. Told me if the tracks came off, boys died. He beat himself to a pulp so that wouldn't happen. My dad was ROTC, graduated as Korea ended. I missed Viet Nam by a couple years, but really wanted to be a pilot. Was told I would have to be an officer to fly and that required college, so I accepted a track scholarship, did the college time. When I went to enlist Jimmy Carter had imposed quotas on the military and I was told they were full up. After that I did a lot of things, one of the last jobs I had was drilling environmental test wells at the Nevada Test Site. Several wells were near a security entrance to Area 51, they told us that was one of the places where they used real bullets, if we had problems it would be better to walk 70 miles back to Mercury. LOL. Where we worked we could watch a lot of "air shows", low altitude combat training in valleys below us. There were times I had to drive to the well sites at midnight, saw the "UFO" lights and realized it was identical to manuevers we saw in daytime, but afterburners and other things made it look like impossible manuevers (which I guess technically they are, but our men get them done). Maybe if I was smoking pot I'd call them UFOs.
You are right about the lack of critical thinking, it's almost impossible to walk recent college grads though analytical processes.
I'm prepared for the re-education camp scenario, but my money is on a bullet in the head and composting to save the planet.

As I've noted many times in the past, we are experiencing the great Chinese curse of, "May you live in interesting times." Somebody's got to, I guess.

Narcissistic sociopaths. It all boils down to power and control. If riches result from that power and control... All the better. MOST, but not all, of today's politically Left elitists, along with their fringe of supporters and co-conspirators, fall into this category. To be fair, however, there are some RINOs who follow the same pattern. 🙁
3 ups, 10mo
Absolutely. In a way I have more contempt for the RINOs than for the insanely gullible and ignorant -- of history -- true believer type leftists. RINOs are willing to cynically sell out this nation for increases in their personal wealth and power. They are not ideologues . . . they are simply despicable parasites on the body politic.

As the history buff of my family, whenever I look at the newest problem I say, "Hey I've seen this one before!"
