Being a democrat doesn’t make you left wing. For blindingly obvious reasons, the people who want to defund the police and reform (let alone abolish) our current prison system see him as another proto-fascist talking head just like they would with any republican. Because that’s what most of the Democratic establishment is at the end of the day, lite republicans.
