Commiewood has been used to tell us what they are going to do for decades in movies. PsyOps, conditioning- whatever you want to call it. They've "normalized" homosexuality, pedophilia, you name it.

Those were not left wing directives!!!! Have you even seen this movie? They got a focus group of suburban parents who loaded it with Republican family values nonsense. "The cop should be parenting the kids and lecturing them about not being thugs instead of focusing on the case" and all that - how could you miss it! It was a clear dig at then-president George Bush, the family-values president who went to war with the Simpsons.

Not to mention the usual future oppressive authoritarian corporatocracy gov't demanding conformity and allegiance to a strict right wing code of behavior.
They were developing robots for lethal crowd control purposes, of which Robocop was one prototype till he started rediscovering himself and his autonomy and thus went renegade,,,

I love how in the remake, they thought "you know, one of the problems with the movie was that the point went right over people's heads. It was much too subtle. What's Samuel L Jackson doing these days?"

I'm not sure you would have forgotten it if I'm being honest. Most of the remake was a pretty generic Hollywood exercise in money making but they basically got Jackson to play Bill O'Reilly.

No, really. That's exactly what happened. And Sammy L absolutely tore the scenery to pieces. No survivors.

You can't forget a movie scene like that.
