"The heat wave this summer is a short term change in the atmosphere making that just some of that goofy ol weather up to hijinks again."
Nope, that was long term because it has been gradually building up, hence why global boiling is also known as Global Boiling. Despite AmericanViking criticising global warming's new name as Global Boiling, they are still somewhat aware of what is going on but doesn't believe it.

"Climate explains why summer is hot and winter is cold in those danged ol bipolar temperate zones."
Summer hasn't always been too hot. In fact in Australia, the last three summers we had were La Niñas.
In fact, La Niña years tend to see cooler than average maximum temperatures across most of mainland Australia south of the tropics, particularly during the second half of the year.
