Dude, I don't think common sense has any place here.

Social security is paid out of each years taxes, and the Social security money coming in. It doesn't matter who we tax or how, it gets paid out the same way each year.

Its more like everything is paid out of debt and then the actual income goes on paying the minimum payment on the loans. Like a payday loan.

If they cared they'd have made SS a system in which a person's paycheck deduction is put into very long term safe and secure bonds instead of using tax money and stocks(401k). . .but no. . .when the US and other countries started SS, the dems had to pick a system that made the country look dumb to everyone else.

I say let people keep their money and be responsible for their own "social security".

SS has been used as a slush fund since it's inception.

But since our youth are not reproducing or working the pyramid scheme has become inverted - more goes out than comes in.

Three things can solve the problem

1. Government replaces the money they "borrowed" (stole) from the fund and stay out of it going forward.

2. Young people get to boinking and spitting out unaborted fully developed fetuses.

3. Get a job. Any job. Contribute to this small working example of your socialist ideals that takes money from you to benefit someone else - an old give out geezer so he doesn't have to work until he dies like poor old Boxer in Animal Farm.*

*Note:. Notice this example of socialist ideology is stolen by the elite and is depleted to the point the intended beneficiaries wind up being robbed twice.
