Any deal he makes now should preclude him from running for office or otherwise participating in partisan politics. That will give the Republican Party the chance to pick its most viable candidates and return to some sense of normalcy. Then we can have a robust 2024 campaign and pick a president free from the MAGA sideshow. BTW--Almost all political experts predict a Biden victory, if Trump runs.

The government is not disallowing hm proper legal representation.  Lawyers say they don't want to take him as a client.  They don't want to ruin their reputations by representing him, and he is going to lose anyway.

That is quite a statement.   Back it up. Who is going after whom and how?  If you are going to use Rudy as an example, he has lost his ability to practice law, specifically because he LIED for Trump.  And, he has admitted in the last few days that he LIED about the vote counters in Georgia. Bill Barr famously refused to lie for Trump and quit, as did his close assistants. And who are providing the information used in the prosecutions?  They are Republicans who used to work for Trump but would not lie for him.  In essence, the whole slew of cases against Trump and his cadre are based on evidence and testimony of Republicans with scruples and real conservative, nor radical, values.

Where is the proof?  Testimony of a paid representative of the Chinese Communists who is on the hook for violating Iran Sanctions? People confess to the FBI daily for crimes they did not commit or blame others for crimes they did not commit. The FBI makes records of these contacts, but only acts on those having valid evidence of a crime.

There was no crime to charge, so "no indictment."  BTW, the Statute of Limitations did not run out.  "The federal statute of limitations for bribery is generally five years from the date of the commission of the crime. This means that the government has five years from the date of the crime to bring criminal charges against an individual for bribery. However, this time frame can be extended in certain circumstances.



For example, if the government can prove that the defendant concealed or disguised the nature, location, source, ownership, or control of the property that is the subject of the bribery, the statute of limitations may be tolled (or extended) until the discovery of the offense."--Statuteoflimitations.com

According to your imagined crime, they hid "the nature, location, source, ownership or control," of the bribe. That means there is no slow walking in the world that would have mattered. Since the accusations of a Bribe go back to the Trump Administration, why didn't his DOJ file charges?  Because they knew that there was nothing to charge.

Lutsenko told Bloomberg that the prosecutor general’s office in 2014 — before Shokin took office — opened a corruption investigation against Zlochevsky and numerous others. He said the probe’s focus was Serghi Kurchenko, who owned a number of gas companies, and a transaction that occurred in November 2013, months before Biden joined Burisma.



Bloomberg News, May 16: As part of the 5-year-old inquiry, the prosecutor general’s office has been looking at whether Kurchenko’s purchase of an oil storage terminal in southern Ukraine from Zlochevksy in November 2013 helped Kurchenko launder money. Neither Joe nor Hunter Biden were implicated or charged in Ukraine's

 investigation into corruption at Burisma. Reportedly, then President Trump was not pleased with this outcome.

Name one Democrat who appeared as a witness before the Committee.  It was Republicans testifying against a Republican.  So, in that all of the evidence was provided by Republicans, you are right. It was not partisan. LMFAO

There were a bunch of Democrats who were prepared to testify in favor of the protestors - who weren't called, or allowed to testify - including the Cop who got fired for putting on a MAGA Cap to fit in, and the top cop, that day. 



How many FBI Agent Provocateurs, urging people to riot, were called to testify?



And some of those "witnesses" were offering only inadmissible hearsay, and likely perjuring themselves. 



It was a LOW RATED, made for TV spectacle - a typical "show trial". 



And please NOTE - that the precedents being set , will invariably be used against the left, and anyone else trying to protest on Capitol Hill.

Kevin Mc Carthy called for a bi-partisan commission to investigate 1-6-21.  He even appointed a member of his caucus to nominate members.  When Pelosi did not rubber stamp his appointment of pro-Trump radicals, he withdrew.  Pelosi did not hand pick Liz Cheney.  Although the rules of the House would allow her to.  Mc Carthy has rejected Democrats nominated for committee roles using the same rules.

I don't ignore the right of the Speaker of the House to approve or disapprove committee membership, like Kevin McCarthy has done. Did you notice that the people giving evidence to the committee, directly exposing Trump's criminal activity were all Trump appointees? Not every Republican is a Trump enabler.
