Yep . . . the liberal intellectuals were the useful idiots that the future monstrous movers and shakers of the Soviet Union used to make their evil empire become a reality . . . and then they methodically starved those formerly useful liberals to death or put them in gulags or just stood them before a wall and shot them.

Aye. We know that many were eliminated as a side effect of programs the early Soviet officials enacted in order to get the vast territory firmly under one party rule -- by uncaring accident in other words. But many also were eliminated -- or permanently sidelined -- as a result of deliberately targeted purges. The ghosts of liberals -- along with actual innocent victims -- are haunting the length and width of the old Soviet Union.

The great irony is that our liberals/progressives/leftists are too 'sophisticated' with their closets full of various virtue-signaling tee-shirts to EVER heed the words of warning from mere conservatives, whom read and comprehended history rather than just drifted through the subject matter in class. So they will not ever . . . listen. This of course makes them very . . . useful . . . idiots. Manipulators LOVE ardent and dedicated, high-emoting, and low thinking fools and tools.
