Yeah, people do over do it with lgbtq representation. There are many cartoon fans who like to believe a certain character is lgbtq even though there isn't evidence to prove or suggest it. I find it very absurd to of them to claim that there "isn't enough lgbtq representation" when there are clearly several cartoons with lgbtq representation and are the most popular cartoons in this day and age, Adventure Time, Steven Universe, OK KO Let's be heros, Gravity Falls, Star Vs The Forces of Evil, The Loud House, Amphibia, The Owl House and The Ghost and Molly McGee. Every time Disney has a production that features a gay character, they advertise this as their 'first' gay character even though there are clearly several other gay characters before this latest gay character. And when anyone even suggests that some people are going to far with being obsessed with lgbtq representation, these lgbtq obsessed cartoon fans accuse them of being 'bigoted' and 'anti-lgbt'. Another thing, some people even think that merely having gay characters and being all about gay characters are all production needs to be considered good even when the overall plot line is bad, examples of such productions are Disney's Strange World and an anime-inspired cartoon called High Spice Guardian. These two cartoons have very poorly written plot lines and basically rely on gay characters for their success what little they have. Shows like Adventure Time, Steven Universe, etc. have gay characters but they don't solely rely on gay characters but mainly rely on the well-written plot line of the show and the characters happen to be lgbtq.
