Sea Levels don't damage roofs, looks to me like storm damage cause by a STORM..

Major storms wash away sand bars, that were sheilding the beaches from waves. Once the sand bars are gone, the rest of the beach is eroded away, too.

Have you even been in the Atlantic ocean?

Have a think as to why coastal erosion might somehow have some kind of link to sea levels.

Because they've been throwing all the money they have on flood defences. And they know it's a losing battle. It's a major issue in Gibraltar.
