Politically speaking as a good man or woman rises to power in the political system he or she has got to sell off bits and pieces of his integrity and ethics in order to go higher and higher. With some few exceptions -- notably among the conservatives -- by the time he's reached a power level capable of effecting real change he has become a supporter of kings, royals, and aristocracy. The system is designed to corrupt.
