According to the Heritage Foundation's index of economic freedom, Norway is actually considered a lot more free-market than the U.S. Despite the popular belief that Europe countries are "socialist", Europe countries are actually a lot more free-market than the U.S. and have a lot less small business regulations than the U.S. while the U.S. is actually ranked 25th in the index despite being the "land of the free". A slight tax increase of 1.1% isn't Marxist socialism, Marxist socialism doesn't allow the rich to exist at all nevermind be taxed. Just so you know I don't think raising taxes is the solution to everything, I'm just pointing out that equating a slight tax increase to actual anti-capitalist socialism is a false equivalency. I also think the rich are being whimps for leaving Norway over a slight tax increase, if they wanna know an over-taxed shithole, they should see California and realize their country isn't so bad after all. At least Norway puts the taxes to good use.
