The world's most populous capitalist-democracy is India. In America we have a Democratic Republic. That is why the current very right-wing supreme court keeps ruling against racist gerrymandering schemes aimed at reducing the legislative clout of others by manipulating how votes are allotted. The court says, in effect, If you can't convince a majority of voters to support you, you should lose.

I worked as a 1035-series Civil Service Public Affairs Officer for two decades. Reporters are skeptical by nature. Editors don't believe anything without two sources.
