1. Wesley snipes owed the IRS more than 10x as much $$$ as Hunter did over a 3 year span and he tried to argue in court that the IRS is an illegitimate government agency and that he was a non-resident alien despite being born in the U.S.
2. Ja Rule had just got out of jail for getting caught with a loaded unregistered 40 cal handgun in his car in New York... and he owed over a million dollars worth of taxes over a 5 year span.
3. Chuck Barry had quite a few other charges brought against him including weed, f*cking an underage girl, taking her across state lines, and armed robbery as a minor. He only owed ~$200,000.... But it was 1979 so in today's money that's considerably more....
4. Lauren Hill might arguably be the closest parallel to Hunter because I think she had no prior convictions or problems with the law but she did owe almost $1 million over a 2 year span..which is more than Hunter. ( She ended up doing 3 months)
