Yes, you’re right. The Molotov–Ribbentrop Pact did, in fact, not include a secret clause to invade and divide Eastern Europe. I’m so glad that libs are finally learning how to pick up a book

If the Molotov-Ribbentrop pact did in fact contain secret clauses specifically meant for Nazi Germany and the USSR to work together, then why did papers which were kept secret for almost 70 years show that the Soviet Union proposed sending a powerful military force in an effort to entice Britain and France into an anti-Nazi alliance?

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/russia/3223834/Stalin-planned-to-send-a-million-troops-to-stop-Hitler-if-Britain-and-France-agreed-pact.html

Oh, Iemme guess, is The Telegraph all of a sudden one of those “evil commie tankie redfash sources” all of a sudden?

Even if France and Britain rejected a Soviet proposal for alliance (which they had every right to do in opposition to a genocidal dictator, albeit rather hypocritical when they were appeasing another genocidal dictator), that does not in any way refute the validity of the Soviet-Nazi collaboration, nor does it justify Stalin’s willing collaboration with the Nazis in carving up Poland.

Here’s a question I’d like to ask you: What else was the Soviet Union supposed to do? It just recently transitioned from being an agrarian backwater to an industrial economy back then and Great Britain along with other Western superpowers placed strict trade restrictions on the USSR. If the Soviets tried to take more land from Germany, then they’d probably end up just losing what land they got.

Just the fact that Stalin tried to get Britain and France to stop the spread of fascism shows that he wasn’t “willing” to collaborate with the Nazis.

The USSR traded with the United States via Amtorg Trading Corporation since 1924, before the US even recognized the USSR in 1933. Furthermore, nations like China and Turkey outside of the Anglo-French orbit could also have been reliable trade partners. Nazi Germany was far from the only option. The USSR could have easily minded its own business without seeking to seize land from Poland, the Baltic states, and Romania, instead of pursuing an imperialist foreign policy of aggressively spreading the revolution to the rest of Europe.

I’ve read plenty of history books, the thing is they’re actually well-researched studies and are not dishonest single-minded propaganda pieces written by clowns like Grover Furr.

…the liberal says, as he proceeds to open up a high school textbook designated by the U.S. curriculum to catch up on the new anti-communist talking points.

I mean Hatler and Stallin' were best buds with plans to conquer Europe together until Hatler stabbed him in the back due to stupidity. So people saying notsees and commies collaborated aren't wrong...
