I think the real question is, why would a President want to declassify documents that are classified for America's protection?

we'll probably never hear the whys in this case but hopefully the prosecutor will find out

Whatever it is, I doubt it'll be good for Trump. I don't see how he can salvage anything from this.

maybe he made some profit or advantage selling the info. maybe he had some plan to make Biden or Obama look bad. what matters is that we find out what real damage was done. if Trump doesn't cooperate fully in that, it will be very very bad for him.

He'll be elected before the day comes when he's just plead the 5th and his attornies would use his own 'ignorance' as a defense. There's a 'co-conspirator' in the ready to take the fall for him as usual as well.

I saw his fox interview last night, he looks shockingly bad! Worse than I’ve ever seen. He seems like a rambling bitter old man. I didn’t think there was any stopping him either, not because of mass appeal, just systemic failures. Now I think he should stay off the television! Stay away from the public. Maybe do a town hall from the basement of Mara-lago? Talk about becoming everything you hate! In two years this guy went from managing the most powerful country in the world to now where he can’t manage a hoard of illegal boxes. The people still supporting him are in in the crime of the century.🥴

Actually you'd be surprised. I had read that at his rallies, between the more charged bits we see on tv, most is really Trump just rambling, at times incoherently, with audience members texting and whatnot on their phones out of boredom. I saw some of this on video.

They have their bad days and good as they get older. Like in Biden's State of the Union this year, he wasn't chewing his tongue off as he often does, was more like he used to be years ago.

I've read Trump was all gone in the head after the election, after the indictments, etc, but then we see him yelling at some rally again and that's all his base needs to go on.

People closer to him going back have said this was not the Trump they know even in 2016. And it isn't the Trump that kissed everyone's ass trying to get chummy with everyone before. He's on a nutty traectory and these MAGAts are on for the ride,,,

Yeah, the Magats are all in forever. I feel like Trump lost his mojo. He’s got nothing to offer. In a couple years we might be a 1 party country.

And about Trump losing his mojo, this is the first time I’ve thought that.

More like in a cpl of yrs we might be a dictatorship.

Word is the CNN Town Hall the other week says his mojo is the same as it's been.

His base is loyal, indictments firing them up. Everything hangs on more moderate Republicans too bored with the drama and independents sick of it voting for someone other than Trump.
Will they and Democrats be inspired enough to vote Biden instead and in sufficient numbers? Hopefully, although right now it's not necessarily looking that way.

It’s definitely going to become either one thing or another. A lot of the MAGA movement is media hype. We will see.

Thing is, those close to him say he was holding back, waiting for 2021. Not that he can become a full blown dictator and get away with anything, but they haven't stopped him from even a simple thing such as his name on the stimulus checks.

Perhaps the spectre of a trial like this looming has cooled big donors, so his defense figured better to get it over with, especially with a named "co-conspirator" they can pin it on as usual.

As usual, Trump has a fall guy.

Best was that recent one for tax fraud where Trump INC was found guilty and had to pay a fine while the CFO who testified against Trump was the one sentenced to prison. When his attorneys cited the plea deal, the judge said to be thankful because if it wasn't for that, he would have gotten even more time! And the fine merely covered the amount of tax Trump hadn't paid, no extra penalty!
