What does touching wet food inside of a sink even mean? Is it like when you are cleaning a plate and you rub off food that has stuck onto it?

And then the spoons reflect it right back at you

Same happened to me when I touched wet slimy cocoa puffs that were in the sink for two days. (We didn't know how to dispose of it before we had a disposal system without clogging up the drain)
