Oh yeah, pride events are tax/government funded, in Canada the pride events of major cities are even funded by the federal government. But there are a lot of corporations that use the pride events to advertise themselves you know. As for weddings, I meant many of them do have dress codes where you have to wear formal attire and it is usually the bride and groom's rules that they set. Even if it's not a strict dress code, you are still usually expected to wear your best clothes and not just come in a t shirt and sweatpants, unlike pride events where you can just wear anythingyou want and even nudity is permitted. At a Church, anyone can attend but at a privately booked wedding venue, it is usually only those who were invited.
