I have angered many dems friends (numbers going down quickly) when I explain that not only will conservatives keep walking away from the military and first responder jobs but also from serving as volunteers after natural disasters. Pushing away the doers will bite everyone in their fat butts. There is little nation left to serve and no one will raise up to fill the void.

Yes, a great many do. But then they still have to toss aside all of the political propaganda against the G.O.P. in general and conservatives in particular, to cast their votes in an intelligent manner for the first time in their lives; and so many 'enlightened ones' simply stop voting altogether rather than struggle to see past ALL of the leftist bullshit that they have been wading in for all of their existence.
