At some point I randomly bought a Link's Awakening Amiibo at a GameStop before the game came out and I used it in botw and all I get are a bunch of barrels with no outfit from that respective game. At least in this game it actually gives you an outfit related to it and it has more defense than the stuff you start out with when you land in Hyrule. It's at least good for the early game and if you have that particular Amiibo on you.
