Target's knee-jerk woke reaction to ANTIFA / BLM riots may end up with them going broke

with the revelations of the FBI agent provocateur's infiltration of the proud boys and Jan 6th "insurrection", or the "assassination" attempt on governor Whitmer.

why is there zero skepticism from the right about the BLM riots??
there was plenty of evidence to suggest FBI interference.

and it is not like there is not decades upon decades of documented FBI infiltration of labor movements, civil rights movements, Anti--war movements going all the way back to its inception.

the American people are being gaslit and propagandized on a massive scale.

if the narrative smears our political opposition, then all skepticism is thrown out the door to giggle in glee.

I witnessed this during the buildup to the Iraq war. Where republicans swallowed the narrative whole, with little discernment or critical skepticism, and NOW i get to witness the liberals behave in the exact same manner with Ukraine.

god have mercy on ANYONE who DARED question the veracity of the narrative.
during the Iraq years i was harassed ,received death threats and had to move multiple times due to being doxed by so-called "true American patriots" for having the audacity to question the Iraq war.
all rightwing republicans and not one apology.

now i get the same treatment from those high moral liberals in regards to Ukraine.

at what point do we set political affiliation aside and come together to critically examine situations that affect us all?
the FBI does not singularly focus on rightwing groups.
they focus on anything that has the possibility to affect or challenge institutions of power and centers of power. This is what the FBI has done for decades.

but what is FAR more concerning is how quickly and easily the American public will ignore the abuse of power simply due to the fact they disagree politically with that particular group.

Good question. Perhaps the answer is related to scale. The single Jan 6 riot vs dozens (hundreds?) of BLM / ANTIFA riots. I would have serious doubts about the FBI's ability to influence / coordinate so many BLM / ANTIFA riots (short of having highly placed moles in those organizations) while it does seem well within their skill set to influence a single riot, particularly when it was right in their backyard.

Estás en llamas hoy!!! Spanish lingo aside, I think we're no longer capable of setting aside political affiliation and looking at ourselves as one for anything on a domestic scale. Perhaps because the followers of whichever party is in charge tend to believe (naively, so) that the govt has their best interests in mind. Plus of course the polarization fostered by leaders from both parties. Dementia Joe and Commie-la lied to us (of course) when they said they would unify the country once in office. Their actions have proven nearly 100% to the contrary (not letting Trump off the hook on this, just not going into detail). Recent history seems to have demonstrated that it takes a perceived national existential threat for us to come together. And of course, who molds, or frames that perception? The party in charge.

Not singularly, but recent trends under the current and prior dem administrations certainly seem to have done so. Off the top of my head I can't recall any such abuses under the Trump administration. Not saying there were none. And yes, they focus on threats to power, unfortunately that power is no longer in the hands of the people.

The two are not the same thing. Months of protests by BLM and A(nti)F(irst amendment) protestors, looting, burning, destroying, attacking multiple federal buildings is not the same as the single 1/6 riot. Other than comparing dozens of riots to one, what else ya got?

You're right, 1/6 to the BLM protests as opposed to white supremacy riots (summer 2020) are all entirely different things.

But if one were so narrowly minded to conflate protests with riots, then I suppose you could call them "BLM riots" So let's assume that this mischaracterization is factual. Let's also assume that the reason for the riots is the same as the protests.

BLM was protesting the number of needless deaths at the hands of police on the basis of skin color. There were dead people to prove it, and cases to back it up, and not enough legislation to stop it.

As opposed to the assault by MAGA, Proud Boys, III%ers and other Far Right wing groups, when they attacked the capitol, they were doing so on the basis of unsupported claims; there wasn't substantial evidence. To this day, there is still no substantial evidence. So, that leaves us to two obvious possibilities:

1) MAGA was afraid of losing political power - this is the most likely reason due to the legislation that followed the 2020 election in which laws were created to make it more difficult for individuals to vote.

Or, (I really don't know which is worse or more likely really)

2) MAGA was actually duped by the false claims made by then-President Trump and were suckered into attacking their own country believing they were defending it, while at the same time claiming to patriots. Yet, they didn't respect the decision of any of the judges (even Trump appointed ones.) They didn't respect the congressional process that is defined within our constitution and subsequent laws.

They became the very thing they swore to defend against. It was later asserted that they were rising in defiance of a tyrannical government. Which, if this were true, they would have brought firearms, which they denied doing, which it was later found out that they did, but they didn't use them. One wonders why? In spite of this, "tyranny" was being used as a buzzword for "what I wanted to happen isn't happening and it makes me angry."

So, if I were forced to say that I support one cause or another in spite of their actions, I would choose BLM every single day. Because at least they had the evidence to support claims. I never supported any riot. However, I did support the other 9000+ protests that were, in fact, peaceful. Riots that summer were also started by white supremacists. There are court cases to back up this claim as well.

Who are these anti-first amendment protesters? I haven't heard of them.

When will Republicans and Democrats do what they are meant to do? Both political parties have had the media's propaganda into their head, to the point that they both hate each other. We should not consider each other enemies, but rather, Americans, with other points of view that we must work with to better this country. The way we've always looked at each other.

We have to understand, every one of us, the BLM rioters, the MAGA capital raiders? They don't represent the whole of the ideology. They are just some bad eggs that use the disguise of fighting for an ideology to do reckless damage to our infrastructure.

And I will tell you this, who cares if you're white? If you're black, gay trans, or whatever? If you speak Spanish, Mandarin, or French, if you're an atheist or a Christian, a Buddhist or a Muslim, we all have one thing in common. We are all American. This great nation whose soil we stand on today is a country built on free speech, and the ability to be yourself, to live in a society free of religious, racial, or sexual prejudices, but rather free citizens of a new glorious utopia. We came to this country, and we choose to stay in this country because we stand for the principles of liberty, and freedom for all.

You don't like living in a free, glorious America? Move to Russia, or China, and see how much you take for granted what we have here. When we squabble over abortion? Over "woke" propagandists and how the drag queens are coming to rape all of our children or something? We make ourselves weak, weak enough that Russia and China can use it to exploit our instability.

We must stand up once again and act like the bastion of democracy we truly are, cooperate, American to American, and beat back the autocratic dictatorships of China and Russia. We must stay firm in our position against tiny dictators like Kim Jong Un who fling nuclear threats like it's nothing for the most petty reasons, and we must stop this idiotic labeling that plain old makes no sense. "Stupid Liberals"? Liberals are just people who stand for liberty. If you support owning guns and keeping your individual rights, then you are in some aspects a liberal. And you do not need to be right-wing to be a conservative, conservatives just wish to keep things the way they are, if you live in a left-wing society and wish to keep things the way they are congrats, you are a Left-Wing conservative.
